Happy Brain Speech and Language Therapy
Just great therapy.
Committed to accessible healthcare
Insurance

I am so proud to accept the following insurance plans:

Kaiser, Cigna, Moda, Regence BCBS, and Tricare (thank you for your service, veterans!)

I am NOT currently in network with Aetna, Pacific Source, or any other groups not listed above. If you have Medicare/Medicaid (OHP), please contact me and I will see you gratis if my schedule allows.

Private Pay

Email me at sarah@happybrainspeech.com using subject line "Private Pay" and a brief description of the services you are interested in (e.g., evaluation, treatment, coaching) in email body for a same-day response disclosing...
-
evaluation and treatment price caps for private pay
-
sliding scale policies and qualifiers
-
flexible payment plans
I believe strongly in accessible therapy for all. If price is our only barrier, we will figure something out. If you would feel more comfortable disclosing financial status to my office manager, Suzanne, she is available on East Coast time at frontdesk@happybrainspeech.com using same formatting as above and she will do her best to respond within 2 business days.

General Advice RE Payment
Do not be afraid to ask practices how they set their rates! It is OK for different practices to use different factors in this decision.

FairHealth Consumer has a great guide to the average costs for treatment in your area for patients seeking similar services. Use code "92507" for an idea of speech and language treatment. https://www.fairhealthconsumer.org/medical

It is highly unusual for a private practice to require or ask for payment for any services before those services are rendered. This includes pressure to put down a "deposit" for an evaluation or treatment appointment. Some exceptions exist of course!

If you use OHP as your primary health insurance for speech and language therapy, you should never be asked to pay any additional amount out of pocket (e.g., no-show fees, extended session length).
