We love Sarah. Scary smart, my kid loves her, and she knows her stuff. She talks to me and my wife like we're people and not just parents. When life happens she's nice about it. No words for how happy we are with Sarah.

Sarah is so kind and funny. She truly is a leading voice in Portland when it comes to ADHD and stuttering. My son has gained fluency skills, his attention has grown as well as she's taught us tools to target his own knowledge of ADHD and his own brain. He was teased at school for his stutter. Sarah made time for us that same day and joined the call saying "whose mom am I going to have to call?" She got him LAUGHING which for my mom heart was all I needed to fall in love with Happy Brain Speech.

I first met Sarah in 2017, and immediately noticed her warm approach with people. She has a way of making anyone feel at ease, and that translates so well into her work with clients since working on communication can be very vulnerable. You can trust that Sarah will create a welcoming environment that supports growth. Sarah is particularly excellent at working with fluency disorders and clients who have ADHD- these specialties are rare in our field which makes her a hidden gem. I would highly recommend Happy Brain Speech and Language Therapy to anyone looking for high quality speech therapy.

Sarah is truly an exceptional clinician! I feel extremely lucky to have been a coworker with her in the past. Collaborating to treat clients together clearly showed me the passion and commitment she has for her work. She eagerly works with families and other professionals to support clients as a team with the values and individual needs of each client driving the goals of therapy. Her bright and calm presence during therapy sessions leaves clients feeling proud, confident, and happy. I can say from personal experience that both clients and clinicians alike enjoy working with Sarah because they know they are in a safe, supportive, and compassionate space to learn and grow and sessions are always fun and creative. I highly recommend Sarah to families looking for a speech-language pathologist with whom they can build a genuine connection and make meaningful progress!

When she presented to the LAPE parent group, she was both articulate and welcoming of others' ideas and questions. Sarah was always courteous and professional during her interactions with families... She was a natural leader.
-Dr. Heather Moore @ WWU (Big Deal)
Sarah is the kind of speech therapist you hope your child gets to work with. She goes above and beyond every session. She's fun. She's knowledgeable. She's kind. She's hard working. She's highly compassionate. You'd be lucky to work with Miss Sarah!

Sarah has been working with my son for almost one year. She is dependable and thorough. I am a very difficult parent and she always has me feeling confident and explains things clearly for me so I understand the rationale of the home activities she recommends. My son loves her and is all ready when I say 'Let's go see Miss Sarah!' We are so thankful.

Sarah consistently demonstrated strong advocacy skills for her clients and encouraged them to develop their own advocacy skill set... I admire her commitment to serving her clients and appreciate her strong capacity for flexibility and compassion. I look forward to her professional accomplishments in the area of speech-language pathology.

Sarah has a very clear communication style and has a way of making people who work with her feel at ease. We worked together in the past, and she is incredibly knowledgeable and always gives undivided attention to her patients and caregivers.
-Isabel Brown, RN BSN
Our son worked with Sarah since he was 2 years old til he was almost 5. Sarah is the best speech language pathologist you can find. She is sweet with kiddos and very knowledgeable and knows how to engage with them. She always had great tips after each session in how to help our son to improve in his speech and behaviors.

We are so thankful for Sarah. She has been able to engage our daughter in zoom sessions, which we didn't think was going to be possible! Our daughter feels valued and is excited to work with Sarah every week. Her articulation has also increased dramatically since we started therapy, and she is progressing much more quickly than we anticipated!
-O.K.
I am so thankful for our experience... we started in person sessions with Sarah and her approach and personality were wonderful. She connected with our 3 year old son quickly and he LOVED going to speech. He made progress quickly and Sarah was communicative every step of the way.

My son worked with Sarah Kleine from age 2 to 5 and I have to say she is amazing. We went to several other speech therapists trying to find one that we felt would be best for our son and Sarah didn't disappoint! Just in our first meeting to evaluate our son I knew we'd found the right person. She listened to our concerns, explained everything to us clearly and concisely, gave great feedback and suggestions, and helped coach us on what we can do better to help support our son's speech development outside of our visits. To see the growth in our son's communication thanks to Sarah and her help can't be put into words for how thankful we are to have found her.

She was exactly the personality that my daughter needed. She had an extremely kind, patient, and non judgmental demeanor that instantly put my daughter at ease and consistently had a new rotation of toys each week to peak her interest and get her talking. Since starting, my daughter has gone from 2 word sentences to 5 word sentences. Our extended family has been shocked to see how much her language and confidence has bloomed since beginning her sessions. The insurance aspect was seamless. Their team took care of everything on their end and always made sure we were scheduled to meet our needs and time constraints.

I was particularly impressed with her level of independence, creativity and systematic delivery of a cognitive rehabilitation program with an adolescent client recovering from brain injury.

Another strength of Sarah’s is her strong background in working with culturally diverse populations. In her undergraduate work, she majored in Africana studies and participated in research promoting cultural sensitivity. You could see this foundation in her work with clients as she was respectful with clients from all backgrounds. I remember one example of her presenting at our clinical rounds about how to support one of her client’s parent’s view on natural medicine even when there was a push from medical staff for traditional supports.
