Acknowledging healthcare inequality

Health insurance is not a feasible option for many Americans at this time. I believe that healthcare is a human right. I am committed to always:

1- Offering affordable private pay rates, sliding scale, and payment plans

2- Exceeding state and national continuing education requirements related to equality, cultural competency, and healthcare inequality related to the field of speech-language pathology

3- Offering flexible scheduling for caregivers who hold jobs that use shift-based scheduling: alternating times, week-by-week scheduling, no late-cancel fee with screenshot of scheduling request from manager for last-minute overtime opportunities

4- Providing existing clients methods of providing anonymous feedback throughout course of treatment

5- Remaining insurance-blind when I can

6- Maintaining open, honest therapeutic relationship through transparency in my own personal politics, background, religion, etc by request of patient (if it's too personal, I'll just say "next!")

7- Teletherapy always offered. Physical office located within 2 blocks of Max train stop and multiple bus route stops. 15 minute arrival window for those taking public transit!
